Steve leads the Asheville area Anchors Away and lives in the Montford Historic District. Originally hailing from Sweden, he moved to the US to pursue an English Literature degree at UCLA, followed by a graduate degree from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. With a global career in business development, franchising, and marketing, Steve and his wife Pamela spent over a decade building a successful business, which they have since divested.
Steve joined his sister-in-law, the founder of Anchors Away, to help expand the service's mission of supporting families facing pediatric cancer diagnoses. Recognizing the growing need for trustworthy pet and home care, he saw an opportunity to elevate this essential service. At the heart of his efforts is a profound appreciation for pets and the love they bring into our lives every day.
